I was considering a novel idea where a couple of the main characters have Synesthesia. [and yes, the plot idea was the main reason I found this forum in the first place]

Anyhow, I wanted One of the characters to have a bunch of stimuli that he perceived as tastes...but I wasn't sure what it would be like, because the only experience I have with tasting something is when I eat it.

So. What's it like to be able to taste music? To see flavors [in colours/letters/numbers]? To feel tastes?
And when you taste music, is a certain piece one flavor only [like "Fur Elise" being Cheesecake], or would it be possible to have a song being played by an orchestra [or with a bunch of instruments] have individual tastes [harp=tomatoes, Piano=oregano, ect.]?

This would perhaps rather belong in the Various or Multiple Stimuli -> Syns folder, since taste syn is syn triggered by taste (e.g. ), and what you're looking for is taste responses triggered by various stimuli (right?).

Oh! Right. Haha, silly me. I only just figured out that it's classified by response... whoops. '^ ^

When I have syn tastes, they're on my tongue, as if I had literally just had whatever the taste is in my mouth. A lot of the tastes I have are hard to describe. Also, different parts of songs can have different flavors.
Feel free to ask me more specific questions, and I'll try to get back to you. I experience a lot of taste responses from multiple sensory stimuli.
