I was just wondering, is anyone else's synesthesia at all like this because... mine isn't

While I don't see colors, the shapes for each sound do rise and fall according to pitch, and seem to interweave. But their movements and shapes are a lot more complicated than this.

Still, I remember when I saw it the first time (before I knew I had syn) thinking it made a LOT more sense that traditional sheet notation.

My looks more like puffs of smoke and shapes out in space, like things interacting with each other. Like holograms. so this kindof completely downplays it haha thats all

I doubt they could really make an accurate representaion though...

That would be difficult indeed to create something that responded to ALL the parameters that go into creating music's image, for me...but I CAN see how this would help a nonsynesthete to visualize music.

The sense of movement is the same, but for me the sounds are three dimensional and take a lot more shapes than just dashes and dots. Of course, the colors aren't mine, and that is distracting, but I still sent it to my family to try and explain. I think the first one was closest to what I see and feel. (I have a tactile component to my music as well and visual, it's hard to explain)

No, I get nothing nearly so orderly. The first time I saw that, I did a doubletake and went "What the ----?? This is supposed to be synaesthesia???"

By movement, do you mean something tactile, or do you mean something observed with your mind's eye?
